Crown Melbourne first opened in 1994 on the north bank of the Yarra and moved to its permanent Southbank home on 8 May 1997.
At roughly 510,000 m² — about two city blocks — it is the largest casino complex in the Southern Hemisphere and among the largest in the world.

Excellent ambience and wonderful displays. The drinks and staff are great. Excellent tea and coffee with plenty of food options. Casino was a bit of fun.

Best casino in the world helpful stuff and great location.
We stayed at crown towers for the night and visited the casino. Clean and neatly presented. We had a great night and were met with friendly staff. I would come again to visit the casino when we are next in the city.
